Have seen numerous posts of miscellaneous stuff relating to Brisbane Racing on various threads.
Think we need a thread set aside for such stuff.

Slepner a very moderate unplaced run at  midweek Doomben a week or two ago is off to Rosehill tomorrow inR3 with Matthew Morris to ride.Trainer is Michael Jacobs from the SC while the horse is raced by his old man who used to be the accountant at the Harness Racing Board.

Do they know something I don't.

Hope it goes well for them anyway. beer

Taking a walk through the stalls at EF yesterday  I noticed there was a group about 8 disabled people and their carers having a look in unfamiliar surroundings. As the horses were being led into the paddock one strapper noticed the group and stopped to ask if they would like to pat his horse.A couple did.It was No.2 in R3 Steel Lips which looked a picture, it stood quietly for a pat then ambled off to bring home the bacon.A nice gesture that brought its own reward.

In theory Wet track over that distance could only help.

Return of Cornwell Park also.

FETES ALFRESCO, the daughter of smart Brisbane filly Fetes Galantes - who ran in a Slipper as an emergency - goes around in the next at Canterbury.

Fixed odds markets have this mare just into the black. chin

Mentioned tonight that David Fowler will be the premier thoroughbred caller on 4TAB QLD after Wayne Wilson retires, and that Fowler will relinquish calling the harness after the winter carnival.

Socceroo owners of yesterday's 2yo winner BUFFERING had a good win on their promising steed.  One was reportedly most generous to stable staff.   Thumb Up

The name came about because one of the owners became frustrated when trying to watch a match on the net. smiley

Our erstwhile mate Thenamy turned up with his promising sprinter DRENALIN.  Unfortunately the alley and a great ride on MAZUKA relegated him to the second placegetter's stall.

The breakdown of SYNONYM left punters lamenting in Race 6.  While things looked grim for the 7yo, early opinion was that he could be saved.  But his racing career is over.

Gay-deceiver MASAI PRIDE must have heard connections talking after his last start failure.  "Give him one more go at Eagle Farm."  The under-rated Paul Hammersley rode the grey a treat, and was able to coax him over the line.  Obviously there were plenty who thought he had a chance, looking at the market.  I doubt he'll be featuring over the BWRC.

Was there a pretty decent go for Jackpot in the Synomym race?
