Love backing horses from the north that have been racing in really strong open sprint races like the Cleveland Bay and Rockhampton Newmarket when they come to town ... they know how to carry weight and normally end up against a bunch of class 3 horses  Undecided

Magic, it would have been around 30 years back that my wife and I went to Eagle Farm over the New Year period and I backed a horse called Doughnut.
It had come from the north and as I was having a winning day I had a good bet on it .  Still remember that as clear as a bell.
  I also don't mind doing the reverse and have had success with backing southern horses in Townsville first up.  Trouble is , most of the smarties bring the price in a lot.
