Piggot & Dettori To Open Revamped July Course

At Newmarket next Wednesday at midday, its two most famous residents, Lester Piggott and Frankie Dettori, will officially open the new July Course facilities following the £10m redevelopment of the area behind the stands.

Newmarket's Managing Director, Lisa Hancock, said: "Frankie lives just up the road from the July Course and it has long been one of his favourite tracks, while Lester lives just across the Heath and had a record second to none here, including a record 10 July Cup victories.

We thought they would be the ideal pair to open our new facilities."

Wouldn't those Board Members involved in Queensland Race Clubs love to have $20 million spent on their particular club.

LOL, Westie, board members of Qld clubs would upgrade members' facilities first of all and then maybe the track and if there was $50 left over they'd buy a can of paint, thin it down and spray it over the public grandstand.  And then they would think that they'd "done good". :P
