According to Bart Sinclair, said Glen Colless after his win on CARRY TO FORTUNE:

"The barrier trial form doesn't count."

Shocking luck for the Heinrich camp in the Saturday draws.  Sad

No joy for our mates with SOTC, either.  $8.50 the drum.  Good luck fellas.  beer

Thanks as always, dd.

His chances, bleak at best, were pretty much defenestrated by the barrier draw.  bleh

Wellllllllllll, I wish I had one worthy of running there.  Undecided

Dunno if there are any Stradbroke hopes in the race.  nowink

I've not been overly concerned about BDs from the 1400.  But they coulda got ya something better than 20.  Sad

Good to see our mate SON OF BENNY salute today at long odds.  Three ladies were very keen to lead and made it a snack for the back-markers.

I didn't even know he was in the race.  Sad Only for the fact I backed the 3rd dog the drum, self-harm would have been implemented.  Sad

GOLD COAST BULLETIN

"273mm of rain has been received since Monday.  GC track manager Steve Andrews said we would need 36 hours of sunshine of fine weather.  "If it fined up Thursday afternoon, all day Friday and Saturday morning, then we would be alright" said Andrews.   "But it's got to stop raining.  "The track is pretty wet and because it has rained so heavily, it is just one big puddle out there at the moment.  But this area drains pretty well and hopefully the king tides don't kick in that much and they don't affect us because we are so close to the water table here as well, which doesn't help."

Kelly Schweida's BARASSIE BROTHER has been most impressive in 2 wins at GC.  The horse is still learning, and I'd expect improvement.

He's in R4 tomorrow, and meets up with RUN WITH ME, who he beat last outing.  RWM looks very smart, too, but is green as grass and can miss away.

They're both right in the race.

Why only 6 races at the Gold Coast?

We have seen plenty of 6 race programmes up the coast on cushion but very unusal that the Gold Coast could find enough runners to support the usual 8 races.
