she seems to prefer between 1600 and 2100 and it was only a 2180 race but the race was awful. We dont mind if she doesnt win but she was blocked and the drivers dont use the sprint lane so she went badly. To be fair we beat her stablemate home by one and that one had Chris Alford on her so it wasnt all bad - it was just a shocker of a race xx

Denzil that was tremendous yesterday. It showed the penny was dropping and his next few starts will be interesting. Who said that they doubt he could win as a 3yo, 

DL as you said forget your horse went around, I noticed she was pulling and had no luck. Just get Denzil's mate off her and put puppet back on.

LOL Luck....I was spewing as had a crack at 30/1 as I said to puppet lets see where he is at today and try not to be 4 fence again.

He should have stayed in breeze and then lobs 1X1 on the winners back last 1400m and hard to see how he doesn't win if that happens.

But no doubt he is still improving which is all you want to see and there maybe a win this time in with right luck  hehehe

Denzel, for some reason I thought your race was today
Tried to download the last lap replay but I am stuck on dial up at the moment, gave up after 5 minutes.  Were you happy with him, I know it is a cheap race, but good horses are allowed to go in those too.
DL sorry I was not trying to be smart when asking if you were happy with your horse, I just had no way of seeing the race so only knew you did not get a place, had no idea she went so bad.

LOL Denzels mates a good bloke though and he did all the work with her when she first came over from nz this time last year. She just wasnt interested in racing this time and the caller did say she was pulling. Hey we beat puppet and the stablemate home so we've got that much LOL.

couldnt agree more denzel - I hope Scott is sore today. I carted firewood yest and am sore so he can keep me company LOL. The potential is there and she does have a nz win under her belt so theres hope. Tomorrows abother day and you win some you lose some :-) No insult was meant to Scotty or any of them ever either - I think they all do a fabulous job and since my stablehand daughter is trying to be a driver I cant say a bad thing about any of them LOL Theyre nice ppl too :-)

Question for all....

Do you throw a 3T0 thats had 5 starts for 0-0-0 into the deep end with Derby heats on this/next week and then Breeders Crown heats in a month ( As paid up for )  or do you take the easy way and hunt for a 3T0 somewhere ???

cant ans that as Im no trainer - just a family person with an interest in the sport. Im no expert - just learned a lil along the way mostly about my horse and trainer and that I like all trainers and drivers Ive had the privilege to meet and spend time in the stables with over the years because theyre kind enough to let me. My daughter is a stablehamnd currently doing the trainers course so she's have more idea and she doesnt know much yet given the course has not long ago started LOL.

Just checked the fields and Steady Arden is racing again next Wednesday 7th July at Maryborough and yes, Puppet, at this stage is on her (phew LOL). She's in race five at 237pm so fingers crossed :-)

I apologise for sounding so biassed with drivers - Im not and I mean no offence to any of them. Theyre all good - Chris just seems to have had the best luck or runs with our horse than the couple of others who've tried. Our horse seems to have taken a shine to him and gives her best when hes at the back :-) The rest have all had their share of good drives too and I mean no disrespect to any trainer, driver or anyone.

Ok Dragon....Lets get some things straight...
You are way 2 nice on here apologising all the time about what you think about drivers/trainers/horses.
You will find real quick that a few of us on here say what we think and rarely apologise unless we are completely wrong.
Especially that longneck bloke hehehe

Just say what you think and if you offend anyone they will soon tell you.

Great to have Steady as a new forum stable runner and hopefully she will salute soon with puppet on board

Sorry Beautone LOL Denzel you were right about Uruguay and I cant say Im sad. I didnt want Ghana to win anyway LOL. Thx for the kind words - I just dont want to get to the stage where I DO get told Ive offended someone - I get enough of that as it is in other places ha ha. I do have my faves like everyone else and there is one driver who I will scream about if they get put on our horse again but Im not saying who or why or what because Im not here to be mean LOL xx Besides Im likely to run into these ppl one day and I dont feel like being beat up LOL. I will say three ppl I truly adore because they are just genuinely nice ppl are driver Kelly Dunne and trainers Ginger Gleeson and Tony Xiriha. They ALWAYSgive us so much of their time and always help my daughter with her questions about her courses and they let her help out in the stables since shes qualified to. Cant rave about them enough xx
