does anyone know anything about a horse called placid castle? I was part of the initial syndicate and it was trained by David Murphy (another top bloke LOL) and it did race once but I havent seen or heard anything of it since. I have it blackbooked and it hasnt shown up so just wondering if they tried it a little too early or whether they gave up on it or what happened? Thx

DL Harnessweb says Placid Castle is still trained by David Murphy, only raced in march so may still coming back from a spell.

Well tonight wasn't ment to happen. Passion floped, Blackie pulled up with AF, not a good night at all. our guy will still head to the 4-5 champs next week will be a lot better for the run. i hope

Thx for the info re Placid Castle - only run was lousy but maybe just a test. She is only 1 2 or 3 yr old or thereabouts LOL. Sorry about your bad luck - from our horse last week, I know how you feel. Better luck next time for us both xx

Looks like I have just gone halves in another, paid dog money ($300) so will add the name when it becomes official, not sure we will see it at the races for that price though

Denzel, your question about what to put your trotter in, I remember having an argument with my wife about a similar thing, I wanted to go for a 3C0 and the wife wanted to go for a Sires Stakes heat.  As always the wife wins, we went for the sires stakes sat in the death and won, paying over $20.  Always listen to the wife     

I'd go the sires too if only for the experience of racing against the better horses.
