thx not a good race at all wish theyd change driving instructions to get her on the outside they always run her up the inside n she gets blocked <sigh> Next time :-)
I watched the race, I thought he was left in a difficult position when the horse 2 in front went rough there was a horse on his outside which prevented him doing what I'm sure he ideally would've liked to do. Also the horse that went rough suddenly got back into stride and so no gaps opened up and he was left blocked in with nowhere to go. If the horse in front doesnt go rough you get on the back of the horse in the 3 wide line and finish probably 10m closer. Wasn't a bad run in my opinion.

Perfect summary Beau....DL thats what happens when you draw the 2nd row you are very limited and rely on total luck and majority of the time it will never come. Being last in 28.7 last 1/4 there is nothing you can do but look to next week and hope for that better draw... Longneck....very happy with the draw and if he can just step away like last start then he won't be far away at all.... Fingers Crossed he finally lives up to how he is named....Dragon Lady please don't ask me to explain that one...hehehehehe

Beautone agree with Denzil great summary. I know its frustrating DL but it will turn around. Denzil as you know deep down puppet made the right choice. Last year I avoided the derby with my bloke and CW was happy to comply. I felt he wasn't ready to go a solid 2500m, maybe twice, and that he definitely couldn't have won the final and would have been lucky to earn. You are better off trying to get a win and the vicbred bonus this prep. I hope that forumite is wrong who said he probably wont win this prep. By the way he is in this race up to his ears. Bigdog good luck on Sat night. I think last week will prove to be an aberration. As he was caught in the breeze and chasing up when they were going lickety split.

thx for watching Beautone and for the valuable critique. As Ive said before Im not in the game so hearing from anyone who is is a learning curve for me and I appreciate it. I was just upset and shouldnt have written so soon after. Daughter was there and she says we were checked as well which I hadnt seen so theres a few good reasons why we didnt win :-) Thanks again - appreciate it. And No I dont hold it against Puppet at all LOL

Denzil Jingling Silver is owned by Paul Davies and his mother, Paul is one of CW's main workers. Paul trains out of CW's place and also has the promising Mundaka. I don't think it has been sold as it raced in their colours. They probably just gave it to CW officially so that he can treat it like a racehorse, whereas owner/trainers can be too fussy, careful and spoil their horses.
I have followed it closely all season and the improvement has been dramatic. She won a heat of the Vicbred from the breeze and then sat three wide the last lap in the final before finishing third. Also ran second in the oaks. I got the tri for a bit last night, I thought the winner was a moral, but when CW galloped at the start I thought I was gone. She did go huge, but I also think that most of the others in that heat (except for the winner) are just nice horses and not elite.
To show how much Jingling Silver has improved, in the Vicbred final she ran second to Mister Casleton and Backas Cobber, who were leader and leaders back. Last night she beat both of them comfortably after galloping away.
CW has 3 nice 3yo trotters and they are all fillies: Jingling Silver, Miss Bullion and Good Thanks.

Ligament) Yeah bummer Longneck...When so much work is put into these horses it's so disappointing when these big injuries happen no matter how good they are.... Am sure one of your new ones will come through to take his place mate Thanks Luck....Couldn't get there today so will just watch and hope from home...If steps shouldn't be far away

Bad luck Denzel, obviously becoming frustrating. Thanks to all those who commented on Our Sirdrinksalot, now here is a story. I was called on Thursday Night and told the horse was going on the horsy heaven truck the next morning due to the vet saying he has torn his susp. ligament. Then I get a call on Sunday saying, cancel that. Luckily the trainer did not book the truck for the next morning becuase a couple of days later the horse is bucking and carrying on and the swelling is going down. The boys look at his foot and see puss coming out. They think abcess but it is not the hoof so maybe not. Anyway the shave some hair and find 2 small holes with puss so they put him on the jogger to get some more puss out. So if not abcess then perhaps snake or spider bit So imagine if he had been a half decent horse, you listen to the vet and put him down That was a close call, now lets hope he can win some races in the next few years.

havent been here for coupla days n was about to say sorry longneck but hey great news it seems :-) Sorry denzel - I know how u feel :-) Steady Arden races this Thursday 15th at Tabcorp (why? good experience I guess) in race six at 433pm. Problem though - Jodi Q is on her n well... remember I said there was one I didnt like being on her? Sorry if yur reading Jodi but that's who. Speaking of galloping every time, Jodi's galloping at the starts history is not good. Shame Puppet and Scotty are both busy in the same race. Not sure I'll even back her this time and I never miss backing her but geez. Tabcorp frightens me but am curious to see how she does just................wish us luck xx
