Download Open Office DD, a Open source (FREE) version of MS Office and if you create or even open one of your word docs using it then click save as it gives you the option to save as .html file

Open the html file using notepad and past the contents between the
here
Hey - this could work really well for tipping comps... setup the survey for everyone to fill out and it automatically generates a spreadsheet for you with all the content in, which the person creating the comp can then add to and display as the results... way cool  biggrin

Here's the results page for the previous survey... should update automagically whenever anyone enters new data.

Edit: Hmmm... seems to have a few quirks - for starters, can't filter out multiple responses from the same person, and... the timestamps don't appear to be all that reliable - in fact the first submission I made was way off target, but the 2nd time it worked... also seems slow to update the data in here (the actual spreadsheet itself updated right away though).

Step by Step Guide to posting Excel Tables to Racehorse Ralk

Note: If you have background colour in your table these won't carry across

1. Open excel and highlight what you wish to copy.

2. Click reply button on the thread you wish to paste to, at top of Post Reply box are three converter links, click on the first one HTML Conversion (Basic) and paste your excel table there.

3.  Click the last Button (looks like a magnifing glass) but is actually the HTML Source button and your excel information turns into HTML code.

4.  Now before you copy this back into the post reply box there is one more task, if you want borders.

5. You will see on the very top line the following: <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="540" border="0"> change the bolded zero's to either one or two, this gives you the thickness of the border.

almost there, I'll wait a minute while you get a J&G scotch.  Ok you've had time to get three of those down I have.

6.  Highlight and right click (to copy all) back to your reply box.  Hightlight again and click the html button (just under the Font Type box amoungst the clutter of buttons above

presto you should be a wizard.

For MAC users do the following,
Excel for MAC ! when finished doing your work in Excel, go to file at the top of the menu and select Web page preview, highlight the data
in the preview page and copy the data to the HTML convertor, once pasted click the magno glass icon and convert to HTML then you can paste the data into the forums. Thumb Up
