We've got a long-running thread on Sydney Racing. Let's start one for Brissie.

The handicapper's rating would have Moncalieri carrying 48 (if we could get down that low) vs Chilled at 58. That means she's 3.5 kg disadvantaged wrt to a hypothetical handicap.
My own view would have her just a couple of kg disadvantaged.

I thought that may be your logic ...... thankyou ........ but...... I have Chilled rating below his best and suited last start (the handicap figure you are looking at is the horses best figure?) ,and Moncalieri desperate to improve on potentially a drier track..... but terribly drawn

Surprising that Heathcote has scratched both his acceptors in the Chilled race.
One who'll likely improve tomorrow is YIELD CURVE. Has gone around the outside rail recent runs. Big weight drop. Should get a chance from the blue box. Currently $9/$3.7 on fixed. We should get better tomorrow.

Shaftesbury, just saw your edit.
Yes, I'm looking at Chilled to be back to his best - and he could be in the Les Kelly camp. He is well weighted, if he is.
Re Moncalieri, I get caught up with some inconsistent middle-aged mares at times. I think the next couple of runs will determine her future.

I'm really starting to get into a mind set that I won't back a first up horse unless I'll get decent odds or I've got it blackbooked, I've been stung too often lately taking unders for what looks like superior form.
Trial was 7 weeks ago ??.......... which one is it ? Good odds, or blackbooked?.... any unofficial recent trial ?

Bit of Blackbooked and Odds, I'd like to think it'll get out $8-9 unless there's a bit of confidence about, I rated in the a similar bracket to Carlton Forward when in Melbourne and it's run well up in QLD,
Don't think it needs to be a super star to run well in the race tomorrow and it's always shown good ability, General Secretary, Chilli Ruler, Hull City all decent horses but not top notch.

fair enuff m8 ...... her last 2 placings certainly good enough to win this ..... but they were over a year ago .....I thought I was going to find the horse at good odds, but as usual the fixed odds teams have left "nothing on the bone" putting her up at 11/2ish ...... Might wait till I get some mail before attacking that race ..... too many questions on paper !

Obviously the fixed odds boys were wary of the Patinack horse. She's not in my top 3.
I'm on the red at $2.5. She's a bloody good mare.

Thoughts on the Martin steed in the last?? Was a nice run last outing, and gets good weight relief from the General.

For a quality Horse CAPTAIN SONADOR has a bizarrely bad record at Eagle farm.
