The O'Brien family won with roughie LONARO at Doomben on Thursday.
They backed up with another long-priced ex-Qld winner in RAPIDEMENT at MV tonight.
In the previous at Canterbury, I backed CARMINE KING the drum. If ya see a better thing licked over the weekend let me know will ya.

MOODY TO SET UP SYDNEY SATELLITE STABLE
The Australian Turf Club confirmed today that leading Victorian based thoroughbred trainer Peter Moody will set up a satellite stable at Sydney’s Rosehill Gardens racecourse.
The trainer, most-famed for preparing wonder mare Black Caviar has secured 10 boxes alongside some of Sydney’s most esteemed trainers. At present, there are 430 horses in training at Rosehill which houses leading trainers such as Chris Waller, John Hawkes, David Payne and Gerald Ryan.
Australian Turf Club Executive General Manager – Racing, Matt Rudolph said Moody’s move would assist the trainer’s assault on Sydney feature, Saturday and mid-week races.
“Peter has had great success on the Sydney racing scene when travelling horses from Melbourne and the addition of a permanent base here will be a great asset to his operation,” Mr Rudolph said.
“Punters can expect to see an increased presence of his string of runners early in the New Year.
“Come Sydney Carnival time, the Sydney base will become pivotal to his preparations for the autumn’s glamour races.
“This may include Black Caviar if connections decide her last Australian start will be in Sydney before she takes on the world.
Moody’s presence in local training ranks is a glowing endorsement for the strength of Sydney racing.
Moody, who is on his way to winning a third consecutive Victorian Trainers Premiership, will take up residence at Rosehill Gardens on 1 January.

Not to sure about "the strength of Sydney racing"..in reality it could be the "depth of Sydney racing" is rather shallow.David Hayes has already exploited the depth.

Young Ben Looker can expect a wrap from Rob Heathcote for getting TAIL AND ALL home first. The horse is definitely NOT Stradbroke material. Maybe it was a case of things going right, but his patient ride made the difference.

Col Hodges was in more strife than Peter Foster when calling the opener at Parkes. Classic stuff, if you get to hear it on replay.
Some problem with the rain and his window.

Hysterical! Shut his window right at the close finish so as the rain wouldn't come in and wet him, so couldn't see the finish!

Nice tip from Sky's Tim Moses in the last at Parkes. Sounded keen on Lady Ashron. Never looked like missing the drum at $5.
Hope Ken Dunbar is OK after spectacular fall.

Chief De Beers will be on Channel 7 news tonight. I think he's now a police horse and was used in the opening of parliament today. I think they said something about it being his "last duty"....
