Sundays wouldn't be the same without racing at Corbould Park, Caloundra.
It's SE Qld's newest track, and is home to Qld's first Cushion Track.
Caloundra currently races on around 70 dates each year, and will soon be a night venue for Saturday (and maybe Sunday) fixtures.
Let's keep this thread for comments on racing at Sunshine Coast.

What does merging achieve? Does it save space?
Would certainly support such action if there were multiple threads on the same/similar topic. As yet I can't see that being the case anywhere on the Queensland Gallops board.
You guys are the ones holding the DELETE and MERGE buttons, and I'd expect you to press them when you see fit. Won't be a complaint from me whatever you do. But...the overall purpose should be to end up with a "forum" that is well organised rather than just a jumble of threads on ill-defined topics. But that's just the view of someone with an ageing, addled brain.

I will leave Westie to decide what gets merged DD,
But the benefits of merging are to concentrate discussions on the same subject making things easier to find and easier to follow
ie would be silly to have 3 or 4 threads on the Melbourne Cup, you could end up replying to multiple threads repeating yourself over and over or just lose track of what you said and where.

Couldn't agree more, MagiC.
The better organised the threads, the more efficient members' time usage will be.
The grouping into individual States is a major improvement, IMO.

DD I agree with MagiC~* on multiple threads on the same subject. The only thread I have merged in the last 16 months on this forum is one started twice by grommy on the 'go maz' thread and this I did today. Footnote: I posted the TAB meetings by looking at the 'All Topics' view and it was remiss of me not to check the thread, hopefully won't happen again.

Legal Perfume in the next should display a forward showing. Is a full sister to another from the same stable Arsang and is only having her 3rd start for the trainer

I was disgusted in the ride ... she is riding terrible ATM. She got to the front and slowed them to a snail pace which allowed the favourite get to the front

From the early races it became clear that the inside draws were not going to be a help at SC yesterday.
The track was rated as DEAD, but perhaps it was better than that out in the middle.
Would be wise to be cautious when reading yesterday's results.
The inside draw made no difference to handy mare ANNACHELLE in Race 2. Young Speers ensured he got away from the fence before the turn and staged a stirring battle with second-starter THE CRUSADER for the last 300. Both runners turning in commendable performances.
Annachelle is owned by BTC Chairman/BRC Director Wayne Milner and his wife. The Crusader is owned by ex-QTC CEO David Laing and friends.
I backed Oakey mare RULE BY RIGHT the place. We know her ability, but her first-up run since returning from WA was pathetic. We saw the real RBR yesterday. She had the race won on the turn from my viewing - but whether she should have lost on protest would be a matter for debate. Maybe she's a SC specialist, but she looks likely to win again.

The $100,000 Sunshine Coast Cup on today. Good quality field lining up with lots of chances.
Bareena has tested us all and she's got barrier 16 just to make the challenge a bit more difficult this time. Not sure what's gonna happen to her today. Maybe a pelican will land on her as she's about to make her run.
