Sundays wouldn't be the same without racing at Corbould Park, Caloundra.

It's SE Qld's newest track, and is home to Qld's first Cushion Track.

Caloundra currently races on around 70 dates each year, and will soon be a night venue for Saturday (and maybe Sunday) fixtures.

Let's keep this thread for comments on racing at Sunshine Coast.

Let's see what this track is like today.  Any GRASS track is better than any synthetic.

And a Happy Valentine's Day to all who love Qld racing. love

The were definitely SLOW horses in Race 1, but time suggests track rating is also SLOW.

That second dog in the first has had more trials than Gordon Nuttall.  Could not be backed on its first race start, but Jimmy B hops on and we see a major improvement. unsure

Occasional showers coming in off the Pacific.  The comforting thing is that today's track is a Good (3). smiley

I reckon we could have raced on the GRASS. chin

Trainer Ray Dart and his family lost their money-spinner EQUATES in a tragic aftermath to a race at Dbn a couple of months back.

They now have a potential replacement in EQUALES. unsure

He goes around in Race 2 today.

They switched at 5.30 yesterday DD and now we have a hot sunny day, 53 scratchings and 50 odd runners on the dirt.

Oh was it that early, napes?  I looked on the QRL website 9pm and couldn't find any message. chin

Yeah, sad when things happen like this.  I guess we wouldn't be betting that there'd be no more rain today, though.

They sent an SMS to trainers at around 5.30 to say it was transferred. At least then most of them knew they had the day off.

Ah, I see. Thumb Up

One of these days QRL will learn that:

1.  Changing a meeting from grass to cushion AFTER ACCEPTANCES is sheer stupidity.

2.  Changing a meeting from grass to cushion when there's time to take NEW ACCEPTANCES has some merit - even sense.

If the weather is so bad that a grass meeting should be abandoned, well do that - and run another meeting somewhere.

No comfort for most of Qld's top trainers that the QRL synthetic racing policy remains in place. Thumb Down

Why has there been no weight info released for Sunday's meeting? Cushion or no cushion.
