Have seen numerous posts of miscellaneous stuff relating to Brisbane Racing on various threads.
Think we need a thread set aside for such stuff.

I note that a jockey in Qld has his father as a steward, on the panel of meetings at which he rides  Undecided

Is this a good thing for racing in Qld?

It will be good thing for racing in Qld if the steward concerned is competent, and absents himself from any deliberations involving his son.

If either of the above aren't met and seen to be met, it won't be.

I noticed ARMED FOR ACTION win in SA over the weekend.

A horse of the same name is joint holder of the 1500m record at EF - set on 24 Jan 1998.

It was a day for fast times.  JUKEBOX KING, owned by a current BRC director, ran the 1800 record on the same day.

Yes, he was a most imposing horse.

Had leg problems from memory and raced in bandages.

Last week at Dbn I backed GC steed TYCOON'S HEART in a 1350 mares' race.

She jumped well but got caught in a crazy speed battle and dropped out.  From memory she lost a plate.  Previous form had been 1200-1400.

Stunned to see her in an 1830 race at EF on Saturday with J Byrne steering.  what
