Gold Coast have been unlucky.

They copped a fair bit of ran since daylight, and track is now HEAVY.

Brisbane has received no rain.  Eagle Farm remains GOOD.

That wont worry you DD...you only bet on GOOD tracks in Brisbane remember tongue

All fine and clear in SE Qld since the weekend.  Temps around 30 C, and winds abating.

GC track would be near GOOD by now.

Showers are forecast later in the week, so I'd be keeping the powder in a dry place just yet.

There are a few showers about this Thursday morning.  Nothing of substance (so far) though.

Humidity on the coast is very high - although maybe that's the heat coming from Magic Millions.

Anything could happen between now and Saturday's meeting.

Good luck to the Club.  They'll need it after last week.

Lucky,

Firstly, I don't know where DD gets his rainfall figures but BOM reports: Rain since 9 am today was 0.0mm.  As of right now the track is rated Good 3.

The forecast is for showers Friday & Sat with possibility of storm Friday.  That rain may OR may not fall at Bundall, so nobody knows what the rating will be on the day.  fate will determine that.

I suggest you play the odds and assume the track will be good or dead at worst.

Are you going to tell us the name of the noble steed?  If you can, I am happy to rate the race for you.

Ascot

I'll let you into a little secret.  The rainfall figure came from the GC Racecourse Manager who said mid-afternoon that the track rating as of today was Dead 5.

Just over half a inch as of around 1pm yesterday.

With this patchy rain , it could differ in certain parts of the track.

I'm sure we have seen at Eagle Farm where it has been raining on the grandstand side and fine over in Mien St

I don't think there is too much around today, most of it seems to be off the coast and staying there.

Interesting though some long range forecaster was on the news a couple of nights ago and reckons Brisbane will be hit by a cyclone in three weeks... last week of Jan or first week of feb, the clock is ticking...  biggrin
