Nothing over the tracks as yet.  Factoring in some rain, I'd be working on DEAD for headquarters on Satdy.

I know of one trainer hoping for worse then dead

Plenty of cloud over Brisbane.  Significant showers passed over before sunrise.  The tracks would have received 5-10 mm.

I'd stick with DEAD for EF for now, but stay tuned.

There's wild weather off the SEQld coast.  One minute it's moonlight, next we're in a squall with heavy rain.

The tracks will be lucky to get through till tomorrow without occasional showers.

No rain to speak of overnight and EF track remains DEAD.

However, this is the current shot from my shack.  If the tracks escape showers today it will be a miracle.

Another 15mm overnight just south of the Qld/NSW border. In fact, if we've had pretty close to that 3 nights in a row

If EF can miss it today it could well be divine intervention as you suggest DD  biggrin

Gee there's been some heavy rain around Brissie and the coasts late this afternoon.

Think we'll be looking at a Cushion tomorrow, and (W) in the form for quite a while. unsure

Yeah, we're on the Cushion today. rant

Right now I'm waiting for the tsunami to arrive.  All my racing records, DVDs, etc, have been moved to higher ground.

TSUNAMI THREAT TO THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT

********************************************************************************
SUMMARY:
Tsunami warning for the marine environment for QUEENSLAND.

Threatened areas extend from Point Danger to St Lawrence, including Moreton
Bay and Hervey Bay.

Possibility of dangerous waves, strong ocean currents and foreshore flooding
for several hours from NOW.

Sea level observations HAVE confirmed a tsunami has been generated.

For further details visit the Bureau web site www.bom.gov.au.

Next update due by 10:17 AM EST on Sunday 28 February 2010
********************************************************************************
DETAILS:
Tsunami waves are more powerful than the same size beach waves, with the first
wave not always the largest. First tsunami effects are expected from NOW.

Do not go to the coast to watch the tsunami. Check that your neighbours have
received this advice.

Boats in harbours, estuaries or shallow coastal water should return to shore.
Secure your boat and move away from the waterfront. Vessels already at sea
should stay offshore in deep water until further advised.

Do not go to the coast to watch the tsunami, as there is the possibility of
dangerous, localised flooding of the immediate foreshore.

Hope the threat doesn't impact on Bulimba Creek(or anywhere else) while we're golfing today.Things are hard enough without being dumped by a big swell when in golfing gear. stop

I'd be shocked if it's on.  The weather forecast isn't flash, and they are talking about possible flash flooding tonight and heavy rain again tomorrow.
