Are they racing today at EF?
As per usual NSW tab doesn't even have scratchings up for EF. This is par for the course. I'm not sue where the communication breakdown is but the Qld scratchings are always the last to be posted onthe TAB site  mad

Heavy 10  Official - for now
57 scratchings.
Would cost the club a fortune if they don't have at least 1 or 2 races.

Why would "1 or 2 races" change the club's financial outcome, DJH?  chin

pisces, your mother would have told you that yelling and screaming will get you no where. lol

Weather looks to be clearing.  Let's hope it is.  After 100 mm overnight, any further rain would be the final straw. unsure

Don't clubs, have some sort of insurance from the TAB's, that if they ran 3 races or something, that they would get paid for the rest ?

I heard this quite a long time ago, may or may not have been true, and or maybe it is not true any more what

Cause I can always remember them saying at the Sunny Coast, if we can get through the first few races before calling them off they would be OK chin

Any truth to this ?

Qld clubs get paid nothing by anyone (for running races). nowink

Whether there's none, 1 or 8 races, the result is the same.  I would expect a phantom would be run if no races.

Is this something that has changed DD with QR, or have I had my wires crossed, or been misimformed ?

I would think 10000+ people at $25 per head would be a pretty significant result for the club. Plus alcohol sales.
If there are no races on I would doubt anyone would pay a cent to get in

I know nothing of that, mate.  Sounds like just another myth regarding race clubs and their funding.

As you appreciate, the fate of race meetings is now - and always has been - in the hands of Stewards.

Ekka Wednesday attendance is almost totally comprised of (1) pre-sales and (2) members, guests and licensees.

Pre-sales will come for a phantom and enjoy themselves regardless of the racing.
