Today's been slighter cooler than expected, just under 30 deg in Brisbane town.  Few storms and showers around the ridges.

Nothing of note would have fallen over the racetracks.  It remains overcast, with a forecast of showers tomorrow and beyond.

For now, the track at Eagle Farm is GOOD.

A line of storms came across the SE last night.  Rainfall would have been patchy.  Gold Coast probably got the most, but Brisbane tracks would have received 10 mm or so.

Another hot day today and storm forecast, plus a scorcher for Royal Ipswich tomorrow.

I guess it's likely we're looking at rain-affected tracks around the ridges for the next week or so.

Will update if I can.

Tuesday nite and another storm around.

That's OK as we haven't had one for 24hours.

Hopefully we might miss this one and I couldn't give a rats if someone else gets it.

Looking out my window I can see that there are some mean looking clouds over Royal Ipswich so we will have to just wait and see if they get much rain.

Stinking hot day for Royal Ipswich.  Will be a test for all concerned.

Track rating of DEAD would be temporary, I'd think.

Especially for the punters.  That is why this little black duck is staying home.

We're in for a fine day over SE Qld.  Gonna get to the low 30s on the coasts.  Light winds and high humidity.

No rain last night, but GC copped plenty early in the week.  Today's track rated DEAD for now, but I doubt it'll be far off GOOD.

Hopefully the rain is close and it will cool down soon.

RH

As someone who resides near our nation's capital, you've got a hide to be taking potshots at Brisbane's weather.  I mean we swelter for a few weeks each year, and get a storm now and then, but day-for-day....we wouldn't swap ya.

Are ya coming up here to LIVE, or just cause trouble? or both? nowink

Brisbane tracks missed the storms last night.

I'd expect Eagle Farm will have need some water today.

Unless there's rain tonight, we'll be on a GOOD surface there tomorrow.

Gold Coast have been unlucky.

They copped a fair bit of ran since daylight, and track is now HEAVY.

Brisbane has received no rain.  Eagle Farm remains GOOD.
