You obviously saw the race.  Who did you think won?

It would be easy if the tight bastards that run the joint
a) Have a blue line painted on the track (as pictured)
b) Build a better box on the line for WW
c) All of the above

Crayfish

That line is there - in WW's mind.  Just that we can't see it.

WW's box is as good as any race-caller would want.

As for its position, well that's another matter.

To be honest with ya....i didn't even watch one race today...as i was up the hostpital  with the wife....but yeh i heard a few....and when i am home watching em ...wayne still calls em getting up....when i can plain as day the other horse as won by a good head....Alan Thomas very really gets it wrong like wayne....deadset i seen wayne this morning on sky giving out his tips with Larry Olsen..hey the bloke could hardly even open his eyes...so how in the censored does he look through those binoculars these days...think about it...?

About 15m or so before the line, the caller's box. It was the bob of the heads and the winner's outstretched head racing style. The second horse's jockey and the horse's rump was a least a foot ahead of the winner's  as they crossed the line.

Sporty, I'll say two things...

1.  I hope your wife is OK.

2.  If you wanna make general comments about WW's calling talents that would be fine, but if you wanna "bag" the guy over a specific finish which you now say you haven't seen....I'd suggest you're the one who should be "thinking about it".

It is very difficult when the heads are out of sync , as was the case here.

I must say I was surprised when Youthful jack was called third today over my E/W bet Desuetude and it came up on the TV with the same placings (pretty sure anyhow)

Was a pleasant surprise when I got home that I had more than expected in the account with the placings reversed !

I mentioned that somewhere earlier Hamish, I backed Desuetude the place and was positive it ran 3rd.
Had a bit of a heart flutter when they put up YJ 3rd.

Sporty, maybe DD was referring to your wife re the accident she had the other week
