This race actually reminded me of your classic Sydney Gai Waterhouse boat race job.
Hot pot has an outside draw but is allowed to get to the lead virtually untouched - then is allowed to stroll along in front unchallenged before booting clear in the straight to win easily.

She has the fastest speed out of the gates so she was expected to go to the lead. She took them in 59 sec for the first 1000m and it was a smart ride as he then slowed the pace on the filly giving the other chasers a breather too. He knew he could go again from the 600 and leave the ones on the pace behind. The fact that back markers finished 2nd and 3rd was a another point to a clever ride by the jock. They ran 2.31 and change, so not too shabby.

The interest from U.S. seems big but even though he won last start it was a slowly run race against weaker company and whilst he may not finish far from the winner I don't think he will be the winner. He is off to Dubai after so if he is to gain some respect he would have to go close in this. I'm backing Vermilion, KaneHekili, Espoir City and Admire Subaru at big odds for the exotics.

Well done Special Week on another good call. Success Broken too good on the day. Casino Drive a good placing, his jockey looked very week in the finish. Do you have an opinion on him ?
