Thanks, call was OK by my standards.
The jock is actually known for his vigour so maybe he got caught by the winner. Casino Drive might go well in Dubai and fairly sure his US based rider will be in the saddle.

For those with an interest in Japanese racing I think the article by one of our forumites is a good read on the foreigners perspective of racing in the land of the rising sun.

Ginolad arrives in Japan for G1 Nakayama Grand Jump and Pegasus Jump Stakes

Ginolad
(c)JRAAussie star jumper Ginolad safely touched down in Japan on Tuesday morning, March 17, for the upcoming Nakayama Grand Jump and the Pegasus Jump Stakes.

The 9-year-old Ginolad, only the fourth horse and the first in 27 years in Australian racing history to cap the Grand National Steeplechase and the Grand Annual Steeplechase double, arrived at Narita international airport after a 16-hour flight from Melbourne via Hong Kong.

Trainer Aaron Purcell’s gelding was then transported to the Shiroi Quarantine Center in Chiba Prefecture, an hour away from Narita. Purcell said the horse was in no different shape than when he left home on Monday.

“There are no problems, health wise,” he was quoted as saying by the Japan Racing Association Web site. “We intend to take it easy with him this week, maybe step it up a bit at the weekend. But he won’t be doing obstacles at Shiroi.

“I can’t say anything about he might do at the race yet, but he’s got a lot of stamina and we’re definitely looking forward to it.”

Ginolad is the only foreign horse registered for the 3,350-meter Pegasus Jump Stakes at Nakayama Racecourse on March 28, and one of three from abroad for the April 18th Nakayama Grand Jump—the world’s richest steeplechase race with a purse of more than 170 million yen also held at Nakayama over 4,250 meters. The winner takes home 80 million yen.

The other two horses set to race in the Nakayama Grand Jump are 10-year-olds Stan and Starzaan of England.

Ginolad was purchased for just $900 at a dispersal sale in Sydney, and since then, he has gone on to win $370,000. Jockey Craig Durden, who won the Grand Annual with Ginolad, will partner the horse for his two races in Japan.

SW, Casino Drive will be ridden by Ando in Dubai - reduces his chances by about 40%...

Does anyone have an opinion on Ginolad?

Sorry Vo just too busy and no time to log info this time, btw Ginolad finished 10th or so in the Pegasus but not too far from the winner, which was a good prep for the nakayama jump in April.
