Is he?
I've only seen a few and they all look like their dad.

There seems to be a big push in a few circles for this stallion,I would not call one winner as flying myself. Let's get to the Autumn carnival and assess how he is going then..

he has had a handful to the track and all seem to be above city class
Shellscrape- 3 seconds from memory - slaughtered twice- and beat at this stage by what would be a likley slipper fav Hewentwoosh- looks a terrifc sires/champagne type horse Shadow Assassin - amazing win A heap of trial winners
So far i dont seem to see a dud- albiet off a limited amount of runners- No exceed and excel - but he couldn't of started better in my opinion

He is showing promise, but it's pretty early to judge him.

Is it even fair to compare him with Exceed and Excel? Considering Dane Shadow has only 61 live foals in his first crop off of 84 mares covered. Of those only 29 are named. That was off of a $12,100 service fee.
Compare that with Exceed and Excel, who does stand at Darley, so is guaranteed of far superior mares. He covered a total of 157 in his second crop, and got a total of 123 live foals. Of those, 81 are named so far.
Not a fair comparison, when one has the commercial backing and support of one of the two biggest studs in the world, and the numbers to show it, whilst another is having to compete at less than 10% of the service fee, and in the same playground, the Hunter. Not to mention the other bells and whistles that Darley does throw in as well.

Just saying you cannot compare the two stallions when one is going to be supported by the biggest commercial entity in racing, whilst another is a small boutique stud, with just one stallion.

Lucky, I think he was a bit of a gunna/hype horse.
I suspect his offspring will be the same

Any horse that was a genuine group galloper is NOT a gunna/hype horse - they are achievers.
He was a genuine group class galloper.

From an owners point of view you are 100%
Personally, I saw him not hit the line when he should have and 1 from 13 suggest I may be right.
Maybe it was because he was a colt and wasn't focused but he looked a winner many times but found one better.....a lot.
Not calling him a cat, author and nothing wrong with stating he was a "hype" horse
