Dunno if there's a thread already opened.

If so, please deal with this as you see fit, Managers.

Wanted to give a wrap to Best Bets' Grant Morgan for his efforts at GC yesterday.

Standing in for Howard Walter, GM was facing a test.  Rain was falling, and there were lots of unkowns.

Yet he came up with most of the winners, including some at good odds.  Plus several long-priced quinellas.

Well done - and we don't have to pay a few hundred bucks to be part of the deal. Thumb Up

No more Sean - received this email this afternoon in response to a query regarding his tips

Hi coinswell,

As per the last newsletter of 2008 we have now ceased with Sean tips, with our final profit figure donated to charity. You will see a whole new newsletter shortly, with quite a few different initiatives and hopefully a lot more information.

Thanks for the feedback, and if your having a bet on the races tomorrow goodluck!

Cheers,
Chris Ryan

Booo hiss! Bring Back Sean I say!

A rule needs to be added that allows bets to be cancelled if Garry Harley tips a horse you have already backed--he is possibly the worst ever tipster and would stop a train  censored

Dr Turf's tips on TVN Friday Nights haven't had the best track record either.  Have seen horses that look unbeatable be tipped by him... and stop

Commendable effort from Best Bets' HOWARD WALTER with his EF selections yesterday.

He made AGE OF HEROES and TISANI BOY his two specials.

He also had TIPSY PIGGY, NEESON, THE JACKAL on top as well as LINEAR (beaten an eyelash).

HW had roughie KENTISH ROSE in his selections for the opening leg of the quaddie.

Good stuff - and all for free. Thumb Up

just racing isn't impressed with the Friday press price ratings.  I mean, it's time the government did something about it:

you ought to compare the variations on HONG KONG paper prices to reality, you would think it was a different race, it's a regular occurence for a horse to be $2.10 in the paper and in the real world it's 6/1 and sometimes 20-1, and i wont even mention the variations on all trot meetings Australia wide....10-1 shots in the paper coming up $1.70 and viccy verca, why bother printing that nonsense, unless of course there's an ulterior motive to influence people's quaddies and other exotics, which i reckon is closer to the mark  lol

A bit nasty off Phil lol

He's spot on.  Just look at the horses they tip.  They're not even smart enough to charge for them, either. lol

He's right about the early paper prices but  most punters can get  accurate early  odds on race mornings.Still the assessors  should  be able to do better .

The way I'm going it wouldn't matter what price anyone puts up  ,they manage to get beaten,in fact the two I backed yesterday never gave a yelp.

And to rub salt into the wound two I was on last time got up at good odds without me.

Morning Colours which I sacked on it's alley and I'm Invincible which couldn't pick its feet up two weeks ago arrived at big double figure odds.  Thumb Down

Someone of the genius-status of just racing would be able to predict SPs accurately on Thursday, surely?

I mean it's acknowledged that everyone else in the racing industry is a mug.
