I've seen these over the last few weeks :

Buried - couldn't imagine seeing an entire movie of simply someone in a coffin underground being worthwhile, but this was very well done, 7/10
Dinner for Schmucks - crappy, only a few funny parts, Steve Carell must have been desperate for a movie, 5/10
Money never Sleeps - M Douglas was a great actor but he's not the main focus here, and the girl playing his daughter in this is awful, wait for it on DVD, 5/10

Just watched Mississippi Burning for the umpteenth time, some great scenes.

Love the part where Gene Hackman collars the deputy in the barber's shop......."You've got a stupid smile, were you wearing that stupid smile when you beat up your wife?"

Sure I recognised FZ under his KKK uniform.......very smart, though brown is more his colour.

Also, and I know this is going back a bit, Spencer Tracey and Frederic March in Ïnherit the Wind"- story of the Tennessee monkey trial. Favourite line is when Tracey outlines the cost of progress." We can have the advantages of air travel, he says, "but the clouds will smell of gasoline and birds will lose their mystery".

Anybody watched Knight And Day yet ?

Tome Cruise, Cameron Diaz.

Tom plays a kinda crazy secret agent, really well done, I think they were taking the piss out of how he can be a bit crazy ..... like jumping up and down on Oprah's couch, if so good on him being able to poke fun at himself.

Ben Afflick's "The Town" very noisy, violent movie with spectacular car chases ,crashes and near misses, lots of tangled vehicles, and awe struck bystanders.

Good special effects. thumbsup

One thing for sure ya won't drop off to sleep weatching it.

I see Stand by Me is howing on Fox Movies this week. I'm no fan of Stephen King, have always reckoned he is about six people, but whoever wrote this story sure knew about young boys. Great coming of age stuff and brilliantly acted.

I was 12 going on 13 the first time I saw a dead human being.

That is line number one and I haven't seen it for about 10 years but I reckon I could quote 90% of the movie.

'Suck my fat one? Who ever told you you had a fat one Lachance?"

"Biggest one in four counties".

"Suck my fat one, you cheap dime store hood" - one of the great lines of movie history.
