Watched Paranormal Activity couple nights back...way overrated. Wasn't bad but it's not really scary.

Really liked Public Enemies...with Johnny Depp as Dillinger.

And The Wrestler top film.

well from many reviews I've read it looks like Avatar is living up to the hype and budget. I really hope so, I'm off to see it.

Here is David Stratten's thoughts(from the movie show on SBS, now ABC).

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/arts/avatar-its-out-of-this-world/story-e6frg8pf-1225810403590

"Against expectations, Avatar is one of the best films of the year, mainly thanks to its extraordinary creation of a wondrous world of amazing flora and fauna and to the skills with which the 3D process is deployed.
As for Worthington, after this there'll be no looking back -- he's destined to join the ranks of the superstars. Avatar opens nationwide on Thursday."

So he went in not expecting much and was impressed. A good sign.   Thumb Up

Saw Avatar early today. Simply Amaizing. The scenery and wildlife of Pandora that has been created is just a remarkable visual extravaganza.

The fact that the story itself while nothing groundbreaking is done very well is enough, but combined with visuals unlike you will have really ever experienced it is a must see imo in the cinemas and in 3D. No point waiting to see this on DVD.

The new trailer for Kick Ass(a comic book series adaptation) is out. Focuses on one of the "superheroes" in hit-girl.

A note to the precious ones.

This is a Red Band trailer and contains strong language and graphic violence but all in an awesome way(especially the last kill  ) .  biggrin

Can't vouch for this, but our TV guide writer says this is the best Christmas film ever made.

Friday....check your local guide for  times(always wanted to say that)

Channel 9......"A Christmas Story"...1983,G, starring Melinda Dillon etc,                     a  rpt.

Yes I enjoyed this film, as arakaan said 3D but be careful also screening in 2D.

Movie on now on ch419, Money For Nothing

When  the tidy sum of 1.2 million dollars literally falls into and unemployed man's lap, he's not exactly sure what to do with it.  Undecided
