Where are the muppets who bagged him on the other website? Calling him all sorts of insulting names, bagged the living shit out of him, pretty pathetic i thought at the time. Have people changed their tune?

reckon snowden would be happy to leave mcevoy in melb for a while - the snowden team with bowman aboard - would be pretty scary
Scary for the bookies. Mac has slaughtered at least a dozen that I have seen

Jock, I know what you mean, but the very nature of a jockey's job means that they are open to Brickbats and Bouquets from hundreds of thousands of people.
The same as other highly paid sportsmen and women, politicans, businesspeople etc.
If they don't want that scrutiny, they can give away the job, and the money that comes with it.

exactly as JWH said - i don't mind him as jockey - but at the same time i don't think he compares to bowman - reckon the european style prob suited him better and think he rode well for godolphin

Thats all well and good jock until he starts getting them beaten when they shouldn't be
Are you suggesting we should never be critical of a bad ride?

No body is perfect we all butcher one from time to time we don't go out there and do it on purpose. the riding instruction's are what you people don't take into account.

Doesn't the nature of any professional sport demand performance levels?
If a footballer missed 5 tackles a game he gets dropped.
I have never seen a jock get things beaten as often as KM
Nobody expects perfection and sometimes bad luck is simply bad luck but he stuffs up more than any jock I've seen

I agree with Jock. It is a very dangerous sport and these people dont go out of their way to slaughter them on purpose. Often it is a split second difference to a good and a bad ride. Sure some are better than others and some make less mistakes but Darley are happy to put him on and you all have the choice to back them or not. I have a lot of friends that have been or are jockeys and I say give them a break.
How was Rocky Jock ?
Cheers

Must be a soft lot today's jocks if they take offence at being bagged by people on a forum. Back when racing was king, it was common for jocks to be abused and pelted at after a Barry...and that was without the help of video replays to be able to confirm if the irate punters had cause.
The old time jocks would be pissing themselves if they read this thread.

I've had a lot of horses slaughtered by bad rides but I've never abused any of them whats the point the race is over. Most of them know when they've done the wrong thing but won't admit it . I just don't put them on again for a while a few have said oh we've served our time . hey jock did you start your aprenticeship on the tablelands I think you rode one for me at grafton ran 2nd I think you'd only had a few rides at the time.

Rocky was a good day, the new track was nice to ride on big improvement. Long way down the straight, had a couple of placings.
Thanks for your comments

Good initiative - saw Carrara was going to keep him wide so just moved forward to take up the running.

If you made as many mistakes as this Clown everyday,There would be no job or work to go to..He rides the best cattle in Syd and stuffs it up daily. He must have pumped oil out of the sheiks 'you no what' at some stage,on his knees...
