With only a dozen or so rides remaining in his UK riding stint, Hugh Bowman's record there stands at 31 winners from 285 rides, a strike rate of 11%.

He also rode 28 2nds and 38 3rds. He chalked up a 10% winning strike rate for trainer Mick Channon, and rode 16 winners for outside stables.

Not a bad effort at all Hughie .... a pretty successful trip for him 

So what happens now , is he coming back to Oz , and who is he going to ride for , as Gai has teamed up with Nash i think ?

A great pickup ride for Bowman is Devil Moon (I hope that's it's name)as Rodd is staying with Marasco.

Hugh is the front-runner to be the new race jockey for Eremein and will barrier trial him today at Rosehill Gardens.  This will be Eremein's first appearance since his 4th to He's No Pie Eater in the Chipping Norton Stakes way, way back in March.

I'd imagine he'll be in a spot of bother for easing up on Rednrich in the 6th at Randwick today about 30 metres from the line.
He must have thought he had 3rd in the bag and got nutted on the line.
