I think REDIBIS went as fast as BB....but in a race ya know BB would leave the filly way behind.

Nice run by Redibis, just the same. Thumb Up

Bazza reports that BB sustained ligament damage in Saturday's race.  He'll be brought back home for treatment and R&R.

Likely to look at a first-up tilt at the Galaxy if the horse recovers.

Did he have an issue before travelling to Melbourne, swelling in his pasten or something ?

They scanned it, x-rayed it, and showed up clear, I wonder if it is the same leg chin

That was a "knee" from memory, MagiC.

X-rays of knees were reportedly "clear".

Not the first time  a horse has reported injuries going into a big race, trainer denies it pre race, horse goes way below usual standard, can get as much out of it on Betfair as you want  and post race horse has an injury.

Yes, and other times a horse has reported injuries going into a big race, trainer denies it pre-race, and the horse bolts in.

Tough game, this racing. lol

I am a little confused DD  shy

BB, had xrays of his knee in Sydney before going to Melbourne, or are you saying he had xrays of his knee in Melbourne after the lightning what

I thought it was his pasten in Sydney, but seems he strained a ligament in his knee during the lightning  chin

Will try and find the article, quoting Bazza  Undecided

Trainer Barry Baldwin will try for a third time to send Burdekin Blues to Melbourne for the Group One Lightning Stakes at Flemington on Saturday week.

Baldwin cancelled Burdekin's Blue's flight to Melbourne on Monday after discovering the gelding had a minor leg injury which scans later cleared of serious damage.

"We were worried yesterday but it's not so bad today," Baldwin said.

"He had swelling in his near front pastern in an area which can be quite serious.

"I've had both his front legs scanned and x-rayed and everything came up clear.

"It looks like it's only superficial as the swelling went down quickly after some treatment."

Baldwin has tried twice to no avail to get Burdekin Blue to Melbourne for his autumn carnival campaign.
