Racing Victoria stewards have reported an elevated TCO2 level from a pre-race blood sample taken from the Darren Weir-trained Grey Jeune, winner of the Murtoa Cup Day October 6, 0-62 Handicap run at Murtoa on July 14.
The analyst reported that the TCO2 level in plasma was at a concentration greater than 36mmol/lt and was therefore a prohibited substance in accordance with the Rules of Racing.
Weir, was advised of the analyst’s findings and Investigations into the matter are continuing.
Weir was the trainer at the centre of an inquiry into aledged stomach tubing at last year’s Warrnambool carnival with Stewards scratching his runner Glebe Run when the horses were on the way to the start.
Wow , the list just keeps getting longer, you would think they would figure out if they keep doing it they are going to get caught, hasn't he been caught for elevated bi carb levels before ?
