Why don't they invest in the Sprinklers that the Cane farmers use, the big straight ones on wheels, and then run it up the straight, would ensure even watering surely 

Doesn't the track camber cause any water to drain toward the inside thus making it lusher and heavier.

Didn't know it was cambered in the straight

Most tracks have some sort of camber to help with draining the water away one would think

I was jogging around the track last night, and that is exactly what they were using.

Personally, I don't think there was much wrong with the inside, it was more a pattern of each individual race thing.

if there was nothing wrong with it,why did the whole field in the ORR stks stay 4 horses of the rail even before the turn?

Because jockeys don't want to look like fools.  If the media start saying the inside is off, all the owners/trainers want their horses to come to the outside.

If the fence was off, why did it take everyone SIX races to work it out?

some are slow learners,ps,did you see where rostova and real saga were in the straight,not to mention the winners in r1 and 2,c.williams didn't mind looking like fool when he went to the rail in the GS on miss finland did he,he followed his own judgment,not the media,owners/trainers,he does his homework,walks the track,so does d.oliver,plus a couple of others,if the fence was ok,the good ones stay there,if you have ollie and williams staying off the rail,its for good reason

Of course I saw where Rosstova and Real Saga were.  The problem for the bias prponents is that those races ran true to form.  In Real Saga's race, the two horses who cut at each other early held on for 3rd and 4th over near the rail.  In race 5 the first three came down the middle of the track, they were also the first three in the market.
Again in the second, all the horses near the inside were the horses who weren't expected to figure.

That's the problem with the bias theory TODAY, in that the races tended to go pretty true to form (with the exception of the two group sprints).  Now it may just have been those in the market came down the right part of the track, but I don't like making that assumption.

But what the hell, if I'm wrong I'm wrong.

They seem to over water at Caulfield more than anywhere else and whenever they over water it is always the fence that is off. Easy to say now after the races but I just had that feeling before the races today that after a few races the fence would be no good due to the over watering cause of the hot weather.

The very fact that God's Hand won coming down the middle of the track, is ample proof that there was a bias.
