If it was 25 years I'd say clearly Brother Fox.

I must admit to being a bit snobbish, I've always favoured Harold Park dogs over Wenty dogs.  That's why I can't have Rapid Journey.  Good as he was, I just couldn't see him being a champion at HP.

What about Awesome Assassin?  Brilliant 1 turn or 2, grass or sand, brilliant sprinter who may have been a champion stayer if given the chance (he still holds a couple of 600 records doesn't he?).

Worth Doing?

There would have been no betting if they didnt retire him so early.

Could have done anything.

Of the last 20 years there is no contest.

Brett Lee by a country mile.

The angle park track record is just ridiculous. 28.88 for 515m.

2nd hmmmm I'd go Whiskey Assassin for pure speed and ability just in front of Flying Amy.

Rapid Journey was the best race dog of that lot however.

True, but so was Worth Doing's Wenty grass record, 29.50.  Only a handful of dogs broke 30sec before loam.

Clearly the best was that one Jack Pringle had.......I watched it win a maiden at Queenbeyan one day in track record time....it then went to the Gabba and pulled off a massive plunge....that was a 5th grade event....thing is...I think it raced as Top Prune? in those couple of events....the dog was also known as Temple Quest.....a top grade city dog.

Yep, I nominated BL and RJ as my best.
BL not a bad sire too wink and also DMc arguably the best trainer in past 20 years
