WANTED - LURE DRIVER for Lawnton Straight Track
We are still seeking a person to drive the lure at our Lawnton Trial Track on a casual basis a couple of times a week. If you are able to help out could you please phone Mr Rob Gaunt on 3261 2983 for all the information.

Not sure OL as to when it closed down. I was in the Army and was transfered around and didn't get to go there as often as I wanted in the later years.

S.A. racing has looked shaky for some time. Rubbish prizemoney just a symptom of the rot. TAB privatisations has been bad news for racing, they should have been handed direct to the industry.

This was from an article on the Just racing site back in October .
Grats can you ever remember harness racing at Loganholme? I've been up in Qld since 1980 but can't recall ever knowing there was a track there.

Loganholme dogs would have closed in the sixties or very early seventies.

Yeah, don't recall Loganholme operating when the Gabba opened in '72, and certainly wasn't around in mid 70's.

The Hyperdome site was a Lion Park for years and that is not the type that Voss now coaches.  Actually a bloke got killed there by one of the big cats when he got out of his car. I cannot remember the dates sorry. I think the Harness racing was down Waterford way . |
