Geez, wasn't it only in the last month you found out about the big C.  sad

I guess if my recollection is right at least it wasn't a drawn out process which can be very harrowing.

Best Wishes Stormy.

Stormy
There are no words that can make the pain less or the loss easier to bear, I sympathize with your loss.  My Dad (86) passed away this month last year.

Gidday Stormy

This is a first time post for me .... I have been a form analyst for over 20 years and generally use this site as a simple reference for information,in search of things I may not be aware of......... (it isnt what I know I dont know that scares me, it's what I know I dont know that scares me! )  ... but from what I can gather , your Dad has passed and with that I can sympathise as I lost my Dad to brain cancer about 7 years ago at the ripe old age of 54 ....... I know nothing of your situation , nor of the illness involved, but as a fellow racing enthusiast, my heart goes out to you and your family! You have some tough times ahead ,with the slightest of "triggers" setting off memorys of your Dad (could be a silly as a song on the radio,or his favourite trainer winning a G1) , but believe me , the pain does subside, over the years !.... If your mother is still alive ,her pain is probably harder to bear than yours and you need to be strong for her, just do your best , that's all we can do ! ...... other than that......... put your heart and soul into the racing form, or whatever your passion is ... If you get the form wrong , who cares, it's only money that you will lose which is nothing compared to the loss you have had , and if you get it right , the financial gain will bring SOME joy to an impossible situation

I wish I could offer some substantial advice , given what I have been through , but the fact is , it simply isnt there ! ... all I can do is assure you , time will heal the wound!

I am sure OldLarsy has experienced such pain which resulted in his negative words to other members ....... but mate , who cares about what others think! ..... lick your wounds, dust yourself off , focus on finding a winner or three and let the old man RIP !

Best Wishes to ya Stormy,

Shaftesbury

sorry to hear that Stormy

Shaftesbury gets post of the week   Thumb Up  nice words.

OL some find it pretty hard to put pen to paper confronted with news like this, more so if they have been through a loss.
Its sometimes hard to type with tears dripping on to your keyboard tears and I'm sure everyone who views this thread sends a thought even if you cant read it.

My condolances to you and your family Stormy.

I lost a son (19 months old) to leukemia in 1987 , and not a day goes past when I don't think of him.

Lost my Mum some 10 years ago and it was tough for our family, especially dad ,but we stood by each other and relive the memories of her wonderful life.

One one thing you'll never lose id the great memories you have stored away.

Cheers mate
