Well last night we had the pleasure of being informed on the forum of the power and self-importance created by the number 30.
I want to cash in on this revelation.
So with this in mind I feel it necessary to take advantage of this new found knowledge and harness the incredible power of the number 30 and what better way to celebrate the glory of the number 30 than with a comp in its honour.
So without further ado the Power of 30 Comp is as follows.
Entry is simple. Guess the number or answer yes/no where appropriate.
1 - Cricket
A) How many individual innings in the 1st test between SA & Australia will be scores of 30 or greater?
B) How many bowlers will average 30 runs or lower/wicket in the 1st test(note a bowler must take a wicket to count in the total)?
2 - Rugby Union
How many separate teams will score 30 or more points in the Super 14 games this weekend?
3 - Soccer
A) Will there be a total of 30 or more goals scored in the 12 games of the English League Championship(league below the EPL) from Friday-Sunday.?
B) Will there be a goal in the A-League Final before the 30 min mark of the first half?
4) Rugby League
Will there be 30 or more points score in the rugby league world Club Challenge game between Manly and Leeds?
5) Racing
How many horses/dogs will win at odds of $30 or greater(NSWTAB Prices) on Saturday?
Every race of every kind(including dogs and trots) held in Australia and NZ covered by the NSW TAB will count.
How Is the winner decided?The winner will be the person with the Lowest MOEPA(Margin Of Error Positional Average).
The reason for this is that the MOEPA by containing 30 letters in its essence harnesses all the power of 30 into one easy number.
Basically it is you average position in each questions result in relation to all others. The total score of each player across all questions will be found and the person who gets the lowest average position is the winner. Simple.
But don't worry about that just get all the answers right and you'll be the winner.
The Prize would be more but in keeping with the importance of harnessing the power of the number 30 it will be the winners choice of a $30 Sports bet(single or multi) or a $30 Bet on the Race meeting of choice next Saturday(the winner to provide his selections for the bet). Bets will be placed on NSWTAB.
I will also put the same bet on for the forum Donation account.
Entry will stay open until the first game in the Super 14(so you can get a head start on the cricket) on Friday afternoon 5.30 AEDST. (modifications can be done on your posts right up until that time.
