Mark your diaries, people.

If you live within a plane ride of Eagle Farm, mark your calendars for the 2009 Brekky Creek Pre-Stradbroke Bash on Friday 5 June 2009.

We have a steak, a bet and a beer.  The relative numbers of each will vary with the individual.

Vintage and myself set the scene about 10 years ago and it's grown every year since.

This is the day to see whether that pest on the forum is really such a censored.

Be there!!

Who would be on here that isn't within a plane ride? And where would that be?   lol

By the way, is actually going to the Stradbroke in the itinerary? Or do we fly home Friday night?

Also, what is the censored word?  what

My youngest daughter has her doctorate graduation at Bond University (Gold Coast) on Fiday 5 June and we have to attend the Dinner at the University on the Saturday evening.  The three remaining boys at home + the bride will be attending and this is the weekend of the Stradbroke and quite frankly it wouldn't be worth the pain trying to convince Jane that I need to be at Eagle Farm for a horse race.

Tell her to send all her mates to the BCH. They will be most welcomed (But tell them to watch out for "Groper" Grats.  tongue

Missed your post DD but of course I will be there as I said in the Betfair post I'm sure with so many more members this year we will increase our numbers and have an even better time if that is possible.

Shane as an oldtime Oakbank camper it is hard for me to admit but Brekky Creek and the Straddie day are even better. Hope we see you there. You will have a great day and Ive been told some even make it through the night. Never done that myself but there is a first time for everything.

I ran in a trial at the BCH on this week.  Track is in real good condition but there is a lot of bias toward beef with coleslaw and jacket potato and beer.  You could win from wide out on the menu with prawns and chardonnay but that runner came from NSW.

Ascot that NSW runner may not be eligible for the Stradbroke if they continue to run with that gear at the BCH. Surprised you allowed them to order anything other than a steak there.

Not only his grammar, but also the content of his posts.
