Should have had its own thread weeks ago

Equalled the 717 track record after a couple of early checks at Richmond tonight at first attempt over the distance.

A future superstar if you've ever seen one.

No doubting his ability and with a clear run he'd worry the clock but with his racing style he'll be a bookies fav wink

Wait till he's up in grade a bit and full fields ...... lay lay lay thumbsup

Not many would agree with your 'man' OL about John Heard  Undecided

that's where  think your 100% wrong Gin.

I've made the comment when he was running over 520's he is close to the best in the field runner i've seen. Seems to never get checked as he looks to actually think its way through the field(and yes I remember how dumb they are   biggrin ). Look at tonight closed on them quickly then slows so not to run up there arse and waits there for 20-30m until the 2 got off enough then takes the gap.

It is this very reason I think he'll be too good at any level.

Freakshow Forty Twenty goes bang

Written by: Johnny Aitken

Boom staying youngster Forty Twenty lived up to the hype surrounding his first start at Wentworth Park over 720 metres on Saturday night, annihilating his rivals in the Tedesco Stake by nine lengths and announcing he is the one to beat for the upcoming Group Three Globe Memorial Chase on April 11.

Under scrutiny all week following his amazing track record equalling effort at Richmond over 717 metres, Forty Twenty was strongly touted to give the magical 42 second barrier a push at his first start in town, with even Chinatown Lad’s track record of 41.90 seconds not safe.

Jumping from box eight, he managed to find the fence through the first bend as Black Bolter took an early lead. Held up on the second bend, he got the split he needed down the back straight to hit the lead and from there, he careered away from his rivals to stretch out for a sizzling 42.35 second victory with $1.10 the return price for favourite backers.

Trainer John Heard will now direct his star dog back to Richmond on Friday night for a 4th/5th grade and if betting on Saturday night is anything to go by, $1.04 may be the maximum quote you can expect to see for this champion in the making.
