Racing NSW has confirmed that jockeys will no longer be allowed to request  their horse's bridle from 1 October, if they weigh in light.  This new law will bring Australian racing into line with other countries.

Riders can claim a half-kilogram from the Clerk of Scales for discrepancies up to half a kilo, because of possible weight loss during race.
