The Australian Jockey Club announced today that Richard Freedman has resigned his position as Executive Director, Racing Operations.
Richard Freedman said, “In the best interests of both parties I have terminated my agreement with the AJC.”
“I am satisfied that during my time at the AJC there were significant improvements in the quality of the race tracks and training facilities at both Royal Randwick and Warwick Farm and a number of other significant structural changes.”
“I am departing knowing that Royal Randwick is now considered to be the best racing surface in the country.”
AJC Chairman Ross Smyth-Kirk said “We are grateful for Richard’s significant contribution to the AJC. He has overseen some of the most complex challenges that have faced our club in recent times and has delivered tremendous results.”
“We wish Richard all the best in his future endeavours.”
