I think it is  a very good concept. Not just for the jockeys to experience International racing, but also to see alot more about the racing industry and different training experiences. As said, there is no breeding or spelling in HK due to lack of space basically. Beas River Country Club have some limited spelling yards which are not what our horses are used to as in spelling paddocks. The horses in HK are trained on the same track day in day out with very little variation. In saying this, their homes (stable complexes) are extremely comfortable including piped music and the horses are very well cared for.

The first appartments I lived in at the Jockey Club in Happy Valley had (this is true) barriers on top of the apartment building. I couldnt believe my eyes when I first saw it - I must find a photo.

The apprentices are trained at the Beas River Country Club as well as with a trainer. At the Country CLub they learn all of the basic horse management skills and the Club itself is a world class facility, purpose re built with the Olympic games in mind.
