Winner has improved with ever run and still does a bit wrong. You wonder how Gai compares him to More Joyous?
Matt would be impressed considering his breeding?

Good question Gintara regarding how Gai compares him with her top filly. Today's win was tops. Looked to stargaze in the straight but broke clear and ran much faster than the Sweet Embrace. It'll be cherry ripe on Slipper day.

She'll keep talking up More Joyous because of Singleton - if she fails to make the field then she'll start spruiking this one as the greatest since the thoroughbred was formed becuse of it's breeding.
Trying to get anything useful out of this trainer and quite a few others when they're well bred is pointless. They'll talk them up regardless.
I backed him in a few feature doubles last week so was happy to see him win. He's thereabouts but you couldn't get too excited prior to the big race. His biggest asset is his ability to position positive in the run. Good barrier for the GS would benefit him enormously. Though I could see him running a strong top 5 then coming out the week later and dominating a Sires in a small field.
Tickets was pretty good today when luck went against him. Pretty even I reckon.

The win might require reassessment...faster sectionals and faster overall time than the fillies division and the 3yo feature.
