The favourite was home a long way out but jesus it was a certainty beaten for second. Cost me q, tri, ff.

And he falls off in the next.

Shane Templeton, tried to say the riderless horse cost Will D'Or 3rd, the jockey stopped riding for no good reason, he was very lucky he held on for 3rd, the riderless horse was playing no part in his stopping ridiing.

Did the boy get back up fast or did he get back up fast?

Congratulations to Jordan on his first city winner today.

Will be plenty more to come, I assure.

Billy Egan on Nitonic. What can you say. Was so inept he deserves to be suspended for being too shit to ride in TAb races.

Reminded me of Cassidy's ride on Funtantes. More worried about the competition than riding own race.

Just seen the replay, tragedy beaten an understatement!

Jake Noonan thought that last race at Terang was a race to the corner.  nowink

Surely he is entitled to think the horse can stay 1200m, it wasn't a 2400m race.

MAtty, he was back worse than midfield, and he sent it to the front at the turn, touch early dont you think?

I'd have been fuming if I backed it.

Having said that probably wasnt good enough to win, but the connections deserved a much better placing than 5th I would have thought.

No one has mentioned it so I will.  What in the world was Damien Oliver thinking on Nicconi?  Everyman and his dog knew that you needed to be off the fence about 3 or 4 horses so he perseveres with the inside run.  From the jump he should have been aiming to be at least 2 wide, yet he goes straight down to the rail and that's where he stays.

And as for Jake Noonan in the last at Terang, don't get me started. rant

BG, perhaps it wasnt the place to be, but Didnt Arnold boot Still Me home through along the rails a couple of races earlier?

Nicco was just not good enough on the day mate.

bgm - d oliver is a koala bear mate , a protected species , not many will be objective and hear of any criticism of him .

My vote for dodgy ride this week goes to mark zahra on galloping hill in the last at kilmore on sun . He got into traffic and then tried to stop the horse even running 4th . Even when it got clear he just sat on it . The stewards report says it went to the line untested - yes , the jockey didnt even try to test it .

I like Oliver as a rider, but that ride was a shocker
