Racehorse TALK

At Ballarat dogs last night, a greyhound called Where's Bridget ran tailed off over the 650m SE heats and was very distressed. Now if we look at it's form prior to the event it had raced five times for 7,8,8,8,5 over the 450m,424m,298m nd 340m beaten from 11 lengths to 23 lengths. Now grv stewards did the right thing after the race and questioned the trainer about the nomination but i have two problems with this.

a) Why was a maiden who had never been within earshot allowed to compete against seasoned stayers off the back of three sprint races?
b)Why isn't the trainer charged with neglect and suspended?

Surely putting a greyhound over that distance and watching it pull up distressed is animal cruelty at it's finest.

As a greyhound lover i was appalled and saddened.
