I rate this bloke very highly, in fact I reckon there's no jockey in the world that rides hands and heels like he can, just one of the best sights in racing, apart from seeig your horse cross the line 1st.

Although he's all ready been quite successful, I just wanted to know how successful people think he would be if he could ride down to 53kg or even less.

Told you Arnold's problem was he gets dictated to by other riders, he is a victim of circumstances too often for mine, he needs So You Think to make him look good

so you think would even make me look good  lol   lol   lol

he just gets dictated to, everyone knew you had to get to the outside and he waited until into the straight before he tried, he was on an Odds on fav he wasnever going to get any favours, in saying that Dwayne Dunne did the same on the hot fave Cabeza, you have to have a plan to try to get to the outside as soon as possible even if it meant grabbing a hold at the start and going to the outside, again to serve up a track like that is nothing short of criminal, a good horse drawn the rails and it has no chance before they jump! not totally blaming Arnold this time, he really was a victim of circumstances, something a great Jockey would have tried to avoid from the get go

Jim, I know if he got the run SW would have finished a lotttt closer, but he tried for it - that's all you can ask for.

Youre forgetting the horse drew barrier 1.

No Mark I didn't forget he drew the rails, my criticism was that he left it until in the straight before he made any attempt to get a run, we weren't the only ones who knew who he was the opposition Jockeys knew he was the one to beat as well, when you leave it until the last 2/300m to make an attempt to get a run you are relying on your fellow riders incompetence or a lot of luck to get out, when you are on the best horse and it is common knowledge that the rails is off you should have a plan to get off asap, while the field is spread out and you have plenty of time, even hook him out the back(ala Lights of Heaven) Nolen had a plan and Arnold didn't!! You just make sure you are away from the fence when you are on the best horse, true the Track was to blame for him being beaten but Arnold should have had a plan to overcome the negatives and he doesn't

Backed 2 winners today just because Arnold was off them, Under the Hat at Geelong and Shamrocker at Flemington, by the way no losers!
