I know a lot of people do not budget for their punting as they are travelling OK, but do you at least have a limit to what you bet with each week?

I deposit $50 per fortnight, hail rain or shine , into my betting accounts.

I raised it from $40 to $50 as that is the minimum that I can EBay to Sportingbet.

A lot might think this isn't much but I assure it does build up and I get  to have some decent bets.

   I just stripped my accounts of some money and only left a total of $144 to carry on with.

   I was just interested do others bet to a budget or not.  I find it works for me.

Everyone would probably just put some in when/if they get low but I see merit in your method. At end of year at least you'll have some forced savings. Thumb Up  
The amount you bet depends on why you are betting IMO. I know some people who bet $100 on each race & others that put $2 on each race. At the end of the day the guy putting on $2 has just as much fun as entertainment value & probably doesn't have the heart attacks of the bigger punter.   

At the start of the year, I like all my accounts to have roughly the same balance & then see how the year pans out.

To answer your question, I don't stick to any budget each week. Some periods of the year I rarely have a bet at all (December/January), whereas other times I will bet alot more.
