I've done the form for a Track Reading of Dead 5 / Slow 6

Race 1
Race Time: 11.35
Distance: 1600m

1.JOKU (02)
2.MUSIC REVIEW (GB) (10)
3.JUERGA (NZ) (06)
4.REDNRICH (03)
5.BOMBER COMMAND (11)
6.RAISE (01)
7.BARLAGARNEY (07)
8.VERY GRAND (NZ) (05)
9.ROSE OF CIMMARON (09)
10.WARBURG (08)
11.RHODONITE (04)

I like the Roggie/Pumper combo in Barlagarney to win...he should be around 7/1 to beat Warburg, Joku and Rhodonite...that's 7-10-1-11

Race No. 2
Race Time: 12.10
Distance: 1400m

1.FRAVASHI (04)
2.CENTENNIAL PARK (NZ) (06)
3.AHDASHIM (NZ) (03)
4.SNOW ALERT (01)
5.ROMANY STAR (02)
6.OVER THE WICKET (05)
7.GEARED UP (07)

Two horse race...I like Centennial Park to beat Fravashi...2-1-3-4

Race No. 3
Race Time: 12.50
Distance: 2000m

1.ALL AMERICAN (07)
2.ORCA (02)
3.MERENSKY REEF (06)
4.MORTAL (05)
5.ROLLINS (08)
6.YALLINGUP (01)
7.THE ZEEBAC (03)
8.BIG SAI WAN (04)

Super keen on Gai's Platinum Scissors colt Merensky Reef...even though All American meets both Orca and Yallingup 5kg better in this, I think it will struggle with the 2000 metres...so it's 3-4-6-2 for me.

Race No. 4
Race Time: 01.35
Distance: 2000m

1.ZAVITE (NZ) (08)
2.NEWPORT (02)
3.PRINCE ARTHUR (11)
4.FAULCONBRIDGE (12)
5.AUSBRED KING (09)
6.PRIMA NOVA (06)
7.KEEPIN' THE DREAM (NZ) (07)
8.QUEEN OF QUEENS (01)
9.ARLINGTON (03)
10.SUSSMAN (04)
11.LYNCEAN ACADEMY (10)
12.RISAYLA (IRE) (05)
13.ABSENT FRIENDS (13)

Pretty tough...don't like 1 or 2...it will be a top up run for the Cup...the mares 6 and 8 have great form linesbehind Divine Rebel...but I don't like mares against the boys unless they have a good pull in the weights...I'll probably be on Absent Friends...unlucky last start, Brown is back on...should get the final run at them...can't dismiss Faulconbridge...then the mares I mentioned...that's 13-4-8-6.

Race No. 5
Race Time: 02.10
Distance: 1400m

1.PHELAN READY (04)
2.MANHATTAN RAIN (01)
3.DELAGO BOLT (07)
4.TICKETS (08)
5.ONEMORENOMORE (05)
6.ROMANUS (03)
7.NEW DAY RISING (02)
8.ROSTOVA (06)
9.PHENOMENAL LASS (09)

Different tempo here to the Slipper obviously...hard to see Manhatten Rain missing the drum...he'll get all the favours...the Slipper winner Phelan Ready would be a clear top pick knowing the race was run at a nice pace...Delago Bolt and Tickets wouldn't surprise...I was disappointed with Rostova last start...so it's 2-1-3-4.

Race No. 6
Race Time: 02.50
Distance: 1200m

1.TAKEOVER TARGET (06)
2.APACHE CAT (03)
3.RACING TO WIN (02)
4.BEL MER (05)
5.NICCONI (01)
6.NORTHERN METEOR (04)

My champ is back in Takeover Target...wow Jay Ford getting the boot...I wonder why...don't like the champ on the Slow...a Dead 5 would be ok...I just see the champ either leading or on Northern Meteor's rump...I won't be having a bet, only cheering the champ home...1st Leg of quaddie...will be a field leg...my numbers 1-6-2-3-5-4

Race No. 7
Race Time: 03.30
Distance: 1600m

1.THESEO (02)
2.ALAMOSA (NZ) (18)
3.KING MUFHASA (NZ) (10)
4.TRIPLE HONOUR (NZ) (01)
5.ALL SILENT (16)
6.WHOBEGOTYOU (19)
7.HOT DANISH (07)
8.SIR SLICK (NZ) (15)
9.SOLO FLYER (09)
10.VISION AND POWER (NZ) (12)
11.NEROLI (03)
12.GALLANT TESS (13)
13.LARGO LAD (05)
14.PINNACLES (04)
15.BLACK PIRANHA (11)
16.RAGS TO RICHES (NZ) (08)
17.CHINCHILLA ROSE (06)
18.MUSKET (14)
19.RHYNO CHASER (17)

All Silent would have been my top selection had he drawn well...I think he is unders now at 9/2...I'll go with the Boss man and Largo Lad...loved his run last start...51.5kg today...a better track...great e/w bet 14/1...Hot Danish needs it dry to win...she'll be thereabouts...I'll include All Silent, Whobegotyou, Neroli and Triple Honour, King Mufhasa in my multiples...that's 13-6-7-11

Race No. 8
Race Time: 04.10
Distance: 2400m

1.GALLICA (15)
2.GOLD WATER (21)
3.PURPLE (14)
4.DAFFODIL (NZ) (13)
5.GLOWLAMP (10)
6.ALLEZ WONDER (04)
7.MISS DARCEY (02)
8.ZAPURPLE (NZ) (03)
9.IVORY PEGASUS (20)
10.PALACIO DE CRISTAL (05)
11.DISCO DANCER (01)
12.ABOVE PERFECTION (22)
13.THINK MONEY (11)
14.MISS LILY ROSE (17)
15.JESSICABEEL (NZ) (12)
16.COOL DREAMER (07)
17.CELTIC COURAGE (18)
18.NOTHIN' LEICA CAT (NZ) (06)
19.SURFER ROSA (16)
20.REVOKE (NZ) (09)
21.MY MY MAREE (19)
22.RAJASI (08)

I'll be backing a few fillies in this at odds...I like Zapurple e/w...saving on Bart's Think Money, the Kiwi Daffodil...and Palacio De Crystal...I'll include both Gallica and Miss Darcey in my Quaddie...so that's 8-13-4-10.

Race No. 9
Race Time: 04.50
Distance: 1400m

1.GRAND CAUSE (11)
2.JEWELLED GATE (01)
3.CRUZADO (04)
4.EMPERATOR (06)
5.I'VE GOT TALENT (08)
6.ZAZABEAU (NZ) (10)
7.FRENCH GAZE (NZ) (09)
8.DANE FLYER (02)
9.PRINCE BRAEMAN (03)
10.SHAKETHEGROUND (12)
11.MUFASA (14)
12.RIO OSA (13)
13.JEDBURGH (NZ) (07)
14.KINGS PRIDE (05)

Impossible race. I'm going for one that should be 50/1 having it's first start for G.Begg...former Victorian Mufasa...gets back...has won 1st up...has 51.5kg...Emperator, Shaketheground and Prince Braeman the main hopes...that's 11-10-14-9

Yeah still in Brissy Sporty living with the same woman...friends only though...not even friends with benefits...long story but we're great mates. Not much more to report other than my footy team the Tiges suck big time. tears

Noticing early betting moves in the Doncaster

Punters still keen to back All Silent 6.00 into 5.00, Neroli 12.00 into 11.00
Solo Flyer 16.00 into 13.00, King Mufhasa 16.00 into 15.00, Musket 34.00 into 21.00

Largo Lad has eased 12.00 out to 16.00
Vision and Power rock solid at 8.00 but he'll drift as the track gets drier.
Hot Danish 8.00 to 8.50...I expect that to be crunched if we get a dry track.
No money for Whobegotyou 9.00 to 9.50...I'd back him at 12/1.

Two that I didn't mention in the Preview that will have admirers are Black Piranha...he is solid at 14.00 and Theseo has eased slightly 13.00 to 14.00.

Early days yet...punters just sussing out what the weather will do...that's fair enough too.

In the Oaks...Gallica 6.50 into 5.50...Palacio De Crystal 19.00 into 15.00...Purple solid on 6.50, you will get double figures on her on a Dead rating...Miss Darcey 4.60 out to 5.00. My tip Zapurple 10.00 out to 12.00

Not much action in the Tommy Smith...Apache Cat 2.70, Takeover Target 3.40, Nicconi 4.50, Racing To Win 8.00, Northern Meteor 11.00, Bel Mer 15.00

In the Sires Phelan Ready 3.20, Manhatten Rain $4.80, Tickets $6.00, New Day Rising $6.50, Delago Bolt & Rostova $8.50...again no action.

Notice on Sportsbet...my blowout tip Mufasa is only 16.00

for comparision - i'll post mine now i'm done

R1
7  barlaganey- looks the EW bet here - last start winner - but the 3 prev runs all sound efforts in strong form races what i'm basing selection on , in a field of limited class

r2
can't forgive fravashi's last run - handles wet - should have finished closer
think the winner will come between adashim/cent park - both nice horses with some high rating performances this prep- will back one and save the other - prob ahdas on dead /cent P on slow (with joint probs would like to see money pre post)

r3
think this is a bit of sucker race - fav's all run on horses coming off race where ran 1st 1000 sub 60sec - so favoured these horses - coming back to a small field without expected strong pace
looking for on pacer who can run a good  final 3 furlong off slow pace - and that's what mortal's done last 3 starts - leading last start a plus , ran 1900m ,home in tick over 35 at canterbery on dead -
Mortal- great EW bet

r4
divine rebel's the form race coming in here , and will take prima nova (again) off that , will also have some on queen of queens - both close enough
prima nova from queens

r5
not investing much here - see gai's 2 leading at moderate pace - so just can't have the slipper winner at his current price - form doesn't point me towards tickets but sentiment does - staging my fav horse as youngster, biggest ever win on excites in this race and good collect tickets 1st run - no advice here

r6
apache was untouchable last year and at his best i believe a better sprinter than TT- 3 dissapoints before last run a concern - but happer to take 3.10 a gamble he's back to best - looked good last start and soft ok
apache a win , TT a lay , nicconi the danger

r7
All silent should win here , last start ryder they came home in sensational sectionals for the day - the form race - winner should come from run on's  here
all silent the one thats performed 5 starts straight though -beat forensics start prev , huge 1 st up run , 2 prev melb runs - gave impression aust's best miler - dead or slow EW to nothing - got in amazingly well  weight wise compared to hot danish, whobe
black pirana the danger

r8
tough oaks - only confidence is miss darcey a lay at the odds
mulitples for me , daffodil, allez wonder, palacio de crystal , think money - all at odds

r9
pretty open race - emperator/rio osa at 1st look

best - all silent and mortal ew

good luck with yours

Race 1

1 Joku on top from 7.BARLAGARNEY & 11 RHODONITE

Race 2

Forgiving 1 FRAVASHI here one bad run (has Nicconi & Heart of Dreams form) from the consistant 3 AHDASHIM and if the rain does come 6 OVER THE WICKET has been there abouts.

Risking 2 CENTENNIAL PARK, thought it was added by a lucky ride last start

Race 3

Race between 1 ALL AMERICAN & 2 ORCA although not really keen either way

Race 4

4 FAULCONBRIDGE stands out here, back on a drier track and down on the limit, ticks plenty of boxes.

Race 5

Hopefully they lead or box seat on 2 Manhattan Rain, he'll do me over the fav 1 Phelan Ready.

Think Tickets is a rung below and happy to risk Rostova, she paraded terrible before the Slipper imho and surprised she hasn't gone for a nice lay down.

Race 6

TT or the Cat? Both have ???s first up, think Nicconi is a risk in this grade, Northen Meteor back on top of the ground could (should) lead and may pinch this (track conditions dependant)

Race 7

Fair dinkum, go wide in the quaddie  lol  reckon you could have 10 and still miss .... if pushed 1, 5, 7 & 18

Race 8

Don't like anything outright. go wide again 1 & 2 plus the fillies from the Nolan Classic 5,6,7,9,10,12

Race 9

Horrible race to finish 4,7,12 with chances to 5 & 9

If you get the Quaddie or Big 6 you should get plenty .......

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY
did Steven King let Rostova pull it's head off instead of letting it lope along in front?

I can never understand jockeys that allow this to happen.

Kind of looks like they're playing around with her trying to get her educated before putting her away until the spring.
