Absolutely pathetic decision to leave the trainers in the north east high and dry imo. GRV are ruining our sport and the quicker John Stephens and Jan Wilson are gone...the better.
They are blaming the council because they say they cant upgrade or relocate the track but why would you need to? Ive been to wang dogs and its fine imo. It has a place to put the dogs, a track with far king sand on it and bloody boxes for the dogs to jump out of. The lure goes around with a bunny on it and it has tab facilities??????????   So y would u need to close it?
I have spoken to alot of owners and trainers and they are fed up with grv and would love to see the back of the current persons in charge.
They are ruining our beloved sport by putting the all mighty dollar ahead of the people who actually run the sport... the owners and trainers.

They should be concentrating on improving their current rules on dogs fighting(not marring.... FIGHTING!!!!!), they need to look at swabbing more dogs after some perplexing results of late, where dogs are winning at 20-1+ after some incredible form reversals.

Wake up to yourself GRV.

ps- Could grv please put this question on their website poll

Are you currently happy with the board and people in charge?

lol   lol   lol ... They know the answer so no way will they do it.

Oh and how wonderful is the watchdog  lol   lol   lol   lol   lol

And why would they need to upgrade the track.  It is a fantastic track IMHO, deserves a better timeslot than those goat tracks Shepparton, Wanrnambool and Geelong.

Wangaratta has its final day of racing tomorrow and i for one will be disappointed as it is a great track which offers those in the north east some great racing. GRV have turned their back on these trainers and owners because they claim it will cost to much to fix the track and the facilities. What a load of BS!!! What's their hidden agenda????? John Stephens should hang his head in shame for making our fantastic sport a joke by closing down a track that produced some great racing. All racing will head to Shepparton which is a fair track but not great. GRV have done the wrong thing in this situation and have turned their backs on the industry. I'll borrow a line from Derryn Hinch...  SHAME SHAME SHAME!!!!
