With all the talk about the jumps racing prolonging the life of a racehorse (I'don't believe this for a minute), how about investigating Gai Waterhouse.

I was wondering if anyone has any statistics on the percentage of her horses that actually reach
: the age of 4
: the age of 5
: the age of 6
above the age of 6:

I'm sure most of these would be less than 10% (above 6 would be 1-2%) so why isn't anyone investigating her

Lets face it Da Judge you would not be the quality contributer you are to this forum if it was not for your better half.  beer

I love the fact that 9 out of ten times her horses are up on the pace and out of trouble. Luck does not play as big apart as it does with most others.

Race 8 from Newcastle Il Vici, The Waterhouse stable have shown a little patience with this well bred 4 gelding in getting him to the races.

Mount Olympus

Cost $3,000,000 as a yearling at the 2007 Easter sales (still standing record). Rock Of G. half to Holy Roman Emporer and Milanova, owned by Coolmore.

At his first start at Canterbury over 1500m, loomed up early in the straight only to weaken out of it.

Yesterday in a 1600m maiden at Broadmeadow gave in like a pricked balloon.

Looks destined for an early stud career.

Not that it makes it any better but it was an 1850m maiden on a bog track.

Mount Olympus is probably so clever he knows he can get 'mounting' sooner if he pretends he is a slow-coach.  bop

Going okay, but betting quite small ATM. I'm loving RacingTraders BetTrader software which is a free Betfair interface. Getting to know how to use it efficiently. It's fun to use and I recommend it highly.
