I am no Queenslander but I'll be blowed if Rockhampton is considered to be North Queensland.
It is closer to Brisbane than it is to Townsville.
I'd a thunk North Queensland begins around Mackay way.

I've done the trip from Brissy to Townsville many times and sort of considered Rocky our halfway point.

Yes, coins, Rocky is half hour closer to Brisbane than to T'ville, but I'd think it's correctly placed in this thread because the pool of horses and trainers and jockeys would overlap to a degree.
Alternatively, we could open new threads for CQ racing and FNQ racing. But I'd suggest not.

Easiest way to tell if you are in North Queensland is when all the locals finish each sentence with "Hey".

I thought most Queenslanders always ended a sentence with 'but', by your reckoning it's only those between the Tropic of Capricorn and the QLd / NSW border. Didn't about 'Hey'. thanks grats. |

hope they can finds a couple nice little races for Carry the Clubs, deserves to have a go in town, wasn't an easy run today & still beat them pretty comfortably.

Ran a nice race from a bad alley last time brought to town.
Will be very well placed in a No metro win race when it returns to the big smoke.

After driving us to distraction in Brissie, ELEGANT ROI has headed north and just keeps winning.
He lines up again today in Race 7, has a good draw, and looks the one to beat again. I expect he'll run short.
