Leading SA Rider Breaks Leg in Trackwork Incident 
South Australia's leading apprentice Amy Herrmann has been hospitalised and will be out of the saddle for a sustained period after a track work accident this morning.

Herrmann, broke a lower leg, after parting company with a mount at trackwork at Morphettville.

It is understood the horse Herrmann was riding reared over backwards and fell back on her, crushing her lower leg.

Herrmann has been diagnosed with a broken tibia.
