Watch this performance this is honesty personified an awesome effort. He was fair dinkum 4 wide the entire trip, the jockey could not make up his mind to go forward or back and this bloke still kept coming and won clearly.

Obviously the opposition might be questionable but i am willing to say here and now that this is a classic hopeful next season.

chalky,he ran the last sections quicker than anything else in the race by
800,3.8l
600,4.6
400,3.5
200,2.3

thats SPECIAL

Shamash seemed to be taking ground of it at the end, did SYT run its last 200 2.3 quicker then this horse?

Yeah i agree with it being wide, just cant see how it ran 2.3 faster then the second horse. According to the sectionals from TVN for last 200m SYT 11.84, Shamash 11.69. Interesting to note the second horse also had a faster split from the 600m and 400m.

Surely he was entitled to get home better, he had a bludge out the back and has race experience.

The winner is a Derby and Cups horse in the making, the other bloke will be a fair saturday conveyance.  Thumb Up

I got the sectionals from the TVN site so i assume they are correct.
I have no doubt that the first horse is better then the second horse, but i dint think he is, or will be a freak. I wish i owned him but from that  run i cant get overly excited. I know he was wide the whole trip but dont think he showed a blinding turn off foot, more of a grinding win i thought, not overly brilliant.

Be interesting to see if that improves on top of the ground.
