Watch this performance this is honesty personified an awesome effort. He was fair dinkum 4 wide the entire trip, the jockey could not make up his mind to go forward or back and this bloke still kept coming and won clearly.

Obviously the opposition might be questionable but i am willing to say here and now that this is a classic hopeful next season.

I took from it that when he won he didn't beat much yet when he got beat it wasn't by much?

Agree with Ed, thought it was fairly condescending  Undecided

"Shattered reputation"= even allowing for the exaggerated license that comes with headlines, this frankelly (boom boom) reeks of antiepodean condescension. Salvaging his reputation is something I dare say wont be written about Frankel should the great horse beat him at some point. If that were to happen, and everything is crossed that it does, I would expect some British excuse making of the like that Geoffrey Robertson would be proud.

SYT fans- dont let these European snobs, and some of the self appointed local racing cogniscenti who like rubbing shoulders with them, bring you down. This is a great horse who will make them eat humble pie.

Just like if Black Caviar is ever beaten in Australia we know something will have to have been wrong.

Neither Black Caviar nor Frankel will ever be beaten unless there is an excuse. Neither will be beaten by better horses.

Re Frankel Authorised, notwithstanding he hasnt been beaten yet, is this not the exact stubborn attitude you've accused doe-eyed fans of SYT of in the past? That is. we are incapable, you've suggested perhaps because of an inferiority complex for example. of tipping our hats & saying "too good" if the horse is beaten on his merits? Please explain how you are not doing the same thing here with Frankel in saying he will never be beaten by a better horse?

In all my time of following horse racing I have never seen two freaks of such racing class as these two. The chances that there would be horses capable of beating either is so remote as to be impossible.

If and or when either is defeated I will evaluate the performances at the time. It is beyond my imagination to see either defeated.

Fair play- I guess its just a shame that the excuse either of them being beaten is so unlikely to be the other horse. Love to see a 1400/1500m clash down the straight. wink

Absolutely.  Love Frankel but I'd give anything to see SYT give him a whoopin'.

Connections of SYT would be too nervous to tackle SYT.

Well there you go, he's coming back to stud it seems.

Not confirmed as Dubai runner but either Dubai or back to UK few runs - then back to stud in Australia.

He may not be able to beat UK donkey's according to that article but he would still flog anything we have running over championship distances here.

Hmm,

The St George may have pinpointed the issues he has over there.  Their horses, at longer than a mile, are just so much better than ours.

He won 4 of 7 in Europe ( 3 at Group 1 level )
2nd at Group 1 level to Rewilding ( winner of Dubai Duty Free at previous start )
Beat Arc winner Workforce at Group 1 level and finished in front of it in the Arc. Finished in front of Snow Fairy 3 out of 4 attempts at Group 1 level
4th in the Arc in record time.
.Upset 2nd at Group 1 level to Cirrus De Angel, but still in front of Snow Fairy and  King George winner Nathaniel.

Only miss really was in USA on a dirt track.

Was anyone really expecting 8 out of 8 between the UK, Ireland and the USA?

Are they that much better or are they better prepared as young horses ?

Even then he might have finished pretty close had he been on the outside where all the winners came from that day.
The inside, where he made his run, was like soup.
